World leader in satellite power conditioning and distribution and the largest supplier of electronics to a European Space Agency medium/heavy launcher, employing over 600 people at the Charleroi site and achieving a turnover of over €100,000,000

Functional Expert– Space Industry –Your responsibilities :

Context of the function:

Functional expert position in the electronic field for design and card production tools. (Engineer level)

The scope of activity is at the level of the multinational and more particularly the « Electronic Product Line » department of the « Electronic Competence Center » (Belgium/Spain/France/Italy/Switzerland/UK) to update provision of high-performance solutions authorizing the innovation expected for the competitiveness of the company in the field of Electrical Conception Aided Design (ECAD).

Position based in Charleroi

Description of the function:

  • You will be the support referent for the Electrical Conception Aided Design (ECAD) domain.
  • You will integrate a team of 10 people dedicated to the Functional Support of the tools of the Electronic domain in a direction of 160 people of the Direction of Information Systems.
  • You will be the privileged interlocutor for the users mainly of the Electronic Skills Centers, the suppliers, the service providers and the IT department of the Information Systems Department. The missions will be to study, develop, qualify, make available the design solutions of the Electrical Conception Aided Design (ECAD) domain.
  • You will support and train users.
  • You will have to carry out projects to propose solutions which will have to meet the expectations of the challenges of innovation and competitiveness.
  • You will work in a group to study, if necessary to pilot the realization, and to provide the solutions.
  • For these needs and solutions, you will dialogue with our representatives from all countries.
  • You will participate in the animation and the definition of the domain roadmap.
  • Possible travel to our industrial sites in Europe.

Functional Expert – Space Industry – Your profile :

Required Skills

  • Civil/industrial Engineer in Electronics or Electromechanics
    or recognized as such by experience and expertise.
  • Mastering the English language is essential.
  • Experience in design or production of boards, printed circuits
  • Have developed knowledge of applied computing and programming with Python

Desirable Skills: 

  • Proficiency in Xpedition Flow CAD software from Mentor/Siemens
  • Knowledge of CADENCE tools
  • Experience in the administration of a CAD tool
