Global Procurement Specialist– Brussels – Your Responsibilities

As the Global Procurement Specialist, it is your responsibility to make sure the company receives the necessary products and services from a carefully chosen supplier base at the best possible rate for value, quality, and performance. You will also negotiate contracts with key suppliers to strategically manage vendor performance, including data privacy compliance and risk minimization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead sourcing efforts to find products and services and create solid supply chain choices for a variety of commodities through Request-for-Proposal (RFP), Request-for-Quotation (RFQ), or direct negotiation.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to get the best service, price, performance, and risk mitigation combination possible.
  • Conduct competitive bids by collaborating with subject matter experts to develop specifications and key business requirements/standards, and drafting efficient RFx documentation.
  • Do thorough financial verification of new suppliers and effective onboarding procedures, protecting confidential data as necessary, to guarantee adequate vendor compliance prior to engagement.
  • Represent EME offices’ main point of contact for procurement.
  • Examine contracts, assess risks, debate policies, coordinate and communicate with the legal and risk teams as necessary.

Global Procurement Specialist – Brussels – Your profile 

  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement
  • ISM or CPSM or any other certifications are plus
  • Core Procurement competencies: Strategic Sourcing, Contract Negotiation and Management, Spend Analytics, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and Project Management
  • Non-Core Procurement competencies: Business Process Reengineering and Operational & Transactional Procurement
